It's really what's between the ears that counts, however, since you are
interested I will share some details of the stuff I use:
- Canon 7D slr. I like the 1.6 sensor size cameras for their telephoto magnification effect.
- Canon 5D slr. The full frame sensor
size camera is used for landscapes.
- Panasonic G1 compact micro 4/3 camera. The
micro 4/3 sensor size camera is a light weight travel camera.
The lenses have software corrections automatically applied
during Lightroom processing. I have the 14-45 and 45-200
Panasonic lenses.
- A modified for infrared only camera
Canon D60 slr.
- Too many bags to carry and hold stuff. Pelican cases
for storage and transportation of equipment.
- Tilt and shift lenses. Canon 24mm and
90mm. These are new to me.
- Wide angle lenses. 16-35 F2.8 and a
17-55mm F2.8. The 17-55mm zoom is a great travel lens for
European cities on the 1.6 sensor size cameras. The 16-35 is
wide enough for the full frame sensor camera.
- Medium wide angle to telephoto 24-70mm F2.8 zoom lenses.
I like the fast aperture lenses for their quicker low light focusing abilities .
- Macro lenses 150mm F2.8. The longer 150mm macro lens allows me to be more distant from the subject
and obtain more pleasing backgrounds.
- Normal perspective (full frame) or
mid telephoto (1.6 crop) Sigma 50mm F1.4 lens .
- Canon 135mm F2.8 soft focus enabled
lens for dreamy images.
- Medium telephoto 70-200mm F2,8 image stabilized lenses.
Image stabilized lenses are good for getting a higher percentage of usable images.
- Long telephoto 100-400, 300 F2.8
non IS. The100-400 is versatile,
the 300 is great for distant nature shots.
- Tele-convertors 1.4 and 2 times for use on the telephoto
lenses, if I need too.
- A couple of extension tubes at 12 and 25mm to modify how
close the 300mm telephotos focus.
- Several flashes and a Better Beamer flash extender.
- HP Z3100 24 inch wide printer.
- Quad core PC with 8 gig of memory, > 2 terabyte of disk,
Windows 7 64 bit, Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop, two Samsung 24 inch monitors.
- An Eye One monitor calibration device and software so my prints
match what I see on the display.
